Nawalparasi, Kudiya VDC


A 10-year-old child has been sacrificed at Kudiya VDC in Nawalparasi district to cure associate 18-year-old boy, who suffered from health diseases. The victim was identified as Jeevan Kohar from Kudiya-4 of the district and a third grader at a nearby school. Police have captured 5 persons, including a shaman, their alleged involvment within the homicide of the kid. Police have arrested Kodai Harijan (35), Ganga Harijan (40), Rudal Harijan (50), Surya Bhan Harijan and Bijay Harijan (18) on charge of the homicide. The suspects admitted the crime.
According to the police, Jeevan was missing since last Tuesday. It became exposed on saturday morning that the kid was killed around the same time once police captured 5 neighbors on charge of his kill. During a police interrogation, Kodai admitted his involvement within the crime and said that he ” sacrificed ” the boy by slitting his throat to “chase away the evil spirits” from the body of his weak son Bijaya. As induced by priest Ganga, main suspect Kodai took the son for his neighbor under control and killed him to cure Bijaya, World Health Organization apparently demanded human sacrifice to exclude intelligence spirits from his body.
The victim was alone in his house as his family members had gone to their field. The adolescent Bijay had said as much under the ” spell of a ghost that was driving him the,” Kodai claimed. Then, Kodai decided to offer the neighborhood kid to the god for the strength of his child. He had lured the child offering him a packet of cookies and a bank-note of Rs 50, according to police. “Then I butchered him,” the man said at the press conference, admitting to the inhumane homicide, where the District Police Office also paraded the suspects. Kodai had even assured folks of the victim that he would facilitate them realize the kid, World Health Organization was believed to be missing then, said police.
He even visited Republic of India within the pretext of looking out the kid, police said.
